Our strong company culture and values are essential for successfully applying and developing the company’s business model. We have a flat organization characterised by a distinct entrepreneurial spirit and an efficient, cost-conscious approach to work. Our short decision pathways help us create room to manoeuvre and make it easier for employees and managers to take responsibility and quick decisions.
Our seven core value words were produced jointly and provide guidance on an everyday basis, and when difficult decisions have to be taken. One factor in the success of our values is that they were developed jointly by employees.

We believe that a present and coaching leader is the key to leading our employees successfully, and we strive to make sure everyone has a committed leader.
We also take great pride in our high level of employee commitment. We have a proven track record of developing and growing people within our great company, this applies to everyone in our stores and at our Service Office. It is an important factor in the sometimes competitive talent market, to ensure that we have an internal ability to constantly develop and learn new things. That’s essential for us.

Our leadership is built on a high degree of personal responsibility and the ability to work with the team towards results. At Byggmax, we believe that engaged leaders create great outcomes. We are extremely proud of our high leadership index among our managers and place great importance on maintaining it through continuous development and training. Our leadership index remains both high and stable — reaching 86 in both 2024 and 2025, compared to the retail industry average of 81.
