“We have a strong position with the Finnish consumer, and are committed to build a strong profitable business in Finland”, says Mattias Ankarberg, CEO of Byggmax Group. “The restructuring of the store network is an important step towards that goal. We are of course sad to let colleagues go, but to be able to invest in Finland we need to improve the business. We are also happy to announce the opening of a new store in Riihimäki, in a location that fits our strategic plan. Our long-term goal in Finland is still to create a store network of 20–25 stores”.
